About the course
This RESIST II MOOC supports SMEs in the European Mobility, Transport and Automotive (MTA) ecosystem as they prepare for the transition away from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE)-dependent value chains.
Across five practical chapters, learners assess their current ICE exposure, identify transferable industrial capabilities and diversification opportunities, understand EU market-entry, homologation, quality and customer-qualification requirements, strengthen customer and net-zero resilience, and translate these decisions into a practical transition roadmap.
The course follows a Learn → Apply → Reflect → Assess approach and uses the fictional EuroMotion Components case throughout to connect the concepts to realistic SME decision-making. Learners are also encouraged to use the RESIST II SME Transition Workbook to complete exercises, evaluate their own organisation and progressively build a transition plan.
The MOOC is designed for SME owners, managers and professionals working in strategy, business development, operations, innovation, quality, compliance and sustainability. It combines strategic guidance, practical tools, chapter quizzes and a final assessment to help participants move from transition awareness to informed action.
